CRAIG WEATHERLEY shows us what's new this year in G.
With 2019 out the way and 2020 beginning, I was intrigued to see what Piko would be bringing out in their G Scale range.
I look forward to this time of year, as all of our different suppliers like Piko, Roco, Hornby, Airfix, Scalextric, Marklin, and many more reveal what they will be bringing out in the year ahead.

Piko are bringing out some rather interesting bits and pieces which caught my eye, let me share some of the highlights.
The first of which is this striking and colourful Taurus ‘Flixtrain’ era VI (PK37429), plus a matching coach (PK37664).
Secondly was this class E94 DB 'Crocodile' from era III (PK37436).
Two new items due out this year are hopper wagons decorated with 'Vintage Warbirds' - depicting the P-38 Lightning (PK38910), and a P-51 Mustang (PK38902)
Now something different and what I believe everyone has been after - a 25T diesel shunter with built in sound! (PK38507).
In the last few years Piko has brought out these little 25T shunters as track cleaners as well as a radio control version in various liveries, it is interesting that they have moved forward again by producing this 25T shunter with sound. What ever will they do next with this little engine!
Apart from locomotives, Piko are going to be doing more rolling stock to accompany them, so you can produce trains which suit the needs of your layout.
